Job Summary:
The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing for a high volume of employees and consultants within a recruitment/staffing environment. This role ensures accurate, timely salary disbursement, compliance with labour laws, and alignment with client billing and revenue cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
-Process monthly payroll for permanent employees and outsourced consultants across multiple clients/projects
-Validate timesheets, attendance, and client-approved billing data before payroll processing
-Coordinate with Account Managers and clients for timesheet approvals and discrepancy resolution
-Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with UAE labor laws and company policies
-Reconcile payroll reports with finance records, invoices, and client collections
-Manage WPS (Wage Protection System) file preparation and submission
-Handle payroll-related bank transfers, salary disbursements, and follow-ups on failed transactions
-Maintain accurate payroll records, employee data, and audit trails
-Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and payroll-related provisions
-Prepare payroll reports, variance analysis, and cost breakdowns for management
-Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, and benefits
Ensure confidentiality of payroll and employee information at all times
Key Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–6 years of payroll/accounting experience, preferably in recruitment or outsourcing industry
-Strong understanding of payroll processing, WPS, and UAE labour law
-Experience handling high-volume payroll (500+ employees/consultants preferred)
-Proficiency in Excel and payroll/accounting systems (e.g., Zen HR, Quickbooks, Zoho, or similar)
-Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
