About the Role:

Our client, a reputable financial institution, is seeking a seasoned Vice President – Credit Risk Reviewer to join their Head Office team in Karachi. This role will primarily focus on reviewing credit risk for the bank’s international branches and subsidiaries, ensuring robust risk management frameworks and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the bank’s credit risk management processes.

Evaluate credit proposals, borrower analysis, and ensure proper structuring and policy compliance.

Analyze the credit portfolio quality, macroeconomic factors, and risk ratings.

Finalize audit reports within set timelines and participate in special audits as required.

Ensure compliance with risk limits, models, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with risk, compliance, and control functions for risk identification and mitigation.

Conduct periodic travel to countries where branches/subsidiaries operate.

Maintain professional relationships and effectively present findings to senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant (ACA/FCA) or MBA in Finance

Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Accounting/Finance) may be considered

Experience & Skills:

Minimum 12 years of experience in Credit Risk Management, primarily in the corporate portfolio

At least 3 years in a Credit Risk Review role

Experience in Corporate/Commercial relationship management is a plus

Strong credit assessment, analytical and presentation skills

Proficient in MS Office tools and knowledge of industry best practices

Excellent communication and detail orientation

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
