Role Overview:
You will be responsible for managing all aspects related to the Bank’s regulatory reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to regulators, and ensuring compliance with the Bank’s Financial Controls Policy.
Key Responsibilities:
● Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting as required by the Bank’s regulators, including but not limited to the UAE Central Bank.
● Reconcile regulatory reporting with financial and management reporting.
Ensure consistent adoption of the regulatory reporting framework across the Bank.
● Liaise with technology teams (Core, BI, Data) for automation and data/reporting requirements.
● Communicate key regulatory ratios to ALCO and other stakeholders.
Stay abreast of regulatory updates and reporting requirements.
● Coordinate with the Risk team to validate Risk Weighted Assets, Expected Credit Loss computations, and related ratios.
● Manage GL account opening and maintenance.
● Implement processes to ensure adherence to the Financial Controls Policy.
● Operate effectively as part of the secondary line of defense for financial controls.
● Set up accounting schema for new products and offerings.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
● Minimum 3 years experience with a UAE-based bank is mandatory
● Strong technical expertise in IFRS, Basel III, UAE Central Bank reporting, and experience in regulatory reporting systems, financial controls, and GL/accounting frameworks.
