The Finance & Resource Manager responsibilities include working with team members and department leads to provide accurate weekly reports on the capex/ opex expenditure, offer insights on areas to improve and increase efficiencies, reconcile Invoicing issues and work closely with the finance and admin department to ensure all accounts are up to date and categorised.
Ultimately, you will work directly with vendors and internal teams to ensure all bills are accurate, along with other departments in our company as needed.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Manage a team that develops financial and resource models, and recommendations for executive decision-making
• Manage and track the movements of internal and external resources and identify opportunities for optimisation
• Coordinate strategic financial planning for the technology function and including expenses, capitalisation of resources, risk tolerances and forward looking views
• Weekly tracking performance vs. expectations, and providing recommendations for corrective action
• Provide insights about spending trends, cost-savings initiatives, and margin opportunities
• Oversee and track the receipt, collation and organising of invoices and provide weekly reports
• Review and track all invoices received to ensure accuracy, resolving inconsistencies as needed
• Work with department leads to ensure invoices are approved and paid on time
• Create and provide a prioritized list of invoices for payments
• Provide support to vendors with disputes or inquiries concerning invoices or invoicing process.
• Identify and implement opportunities for invoice reduction, strategic cost management and streamlining of processes
• Maintain and/or ensure maintenance of software, professional service, asset records related to invoicing and bill payment
• Issue and distribute weekly reports of invoicing metrics, financial and resource KPIs plus ageing reports
• Advise staff on proper, legal parameters for collections practices
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Advanced excel skills (pivots, macro’s, v-lookups)
• Proven work experience as a Finance and Resource Manager or similar role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Basic understanding of collection practices
• Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
• Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations
• Relevant training and/or certifications as an Invoicing Manager
