Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough inspections of lifting equipment, such as cranes, hoists, and forklifts, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Developing and implementing inspection and maintenance plans for lifting equipment, including scheduling routine checks and assessments
- Analyzing inspection data and producing detailed reports outlining any issues or concerns with lifting equipment
- Collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams of the clients to recommend and implement solutions for improving the performance and safety of lifting equipment
- Keeping abreast of industry developments and changes in regulations to ensure that our lifting operations remain in compliance with best practices
- Providing training and assessment to Lifting and maintenance staff regarding best practices for lifting equipment inspections and safety protocols.
- Actively participating in safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks associated with lifting operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in lifting equipment inspections and maintenance
- Professional certification in lifting equipment inspection (e.g. LEEA certification) is preferred
- Strong understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards, such as OSHA and ANSI/ASME
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound recommendations for improving lifting operations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful maintenance and inspection programs for lifting equipment
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to best practices in lifting operations
