Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer (Android) with 5+ years of hands-on development experience to architect and build scalable, high-performance applications for mission-critical FinTech systems. Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement new features and enhancements for Android applications using Kotlin.
2. Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and fellow engineers to refine and deliver product requirements.
3. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code primarily in Kotlin, with Java as needed.
4. Perform code reviews to uphold code quality, performance, and adherence to modern Android development standards.
5. Optimize app performance and ensure smooth user experience across various Android devices and OS versions.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, address technical debt, and identify performance bottlenecks.
7. Stay current with the latest Android development trends, tools (e.g., Jetpack Compose), and best practices.
8. Participate in Agile workflows including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5-7 years of experience developing Android applications with a strong focus on Kotlin.
3. Proficient in Android Studio, Android SDK, and modern development tools.
4. Deep understanding of Android architecture, design patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture), and best practices.
5. Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON data formats.
6. Solid experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
7. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and workflows.
8. Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
10. Hands-on experience with Android Jetpack components (e.g., ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, Room).
11. Experience with reactive programming (e.g., RxJava, Kotlin Flow).
12. Knowledge of Swift and KMM is a plus.
13. Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and declarative UI development.
14. Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) practices.
15. Contributions to open-source projects or a well-maintained personal GitHub portfolio.
