Field Support Engineer has a wide range of responsibilities, which includes:
•Perform installations & troubleshooting of Routers, Switches, Firewalls, CCTV, Wireless, VoIP and other IT solutions based on IP network along with structured cabling
•Shall be familiar to use Single/Multi Mode fiber cables with LC/UPC or SC/APC connector types and able to perform power loss & OTDR testing. Splicing would be a plus.
•Having excellent experience with Copper RJ-11 & RJ-45 cabling & connector (punching) using Connectors / IOs and harnessing in racks/patch panels along with using network cable testers
•Able to carry out troubleshooting of equipment/networks and resolve L1 issues
•Coordinate with L2/L3 teams and Vendors for support related cases
•Test and configure software/systems and maintain and repair hardware and devices on routine basis or based on demand from user.
•Plan, organize and schedule site visits with customers for installations & UAT
•Ensure documentation for successful UAT and handover of services to customer
•Ensure documentation of all routine works and user complaints along with resolution steps in detail.
•Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing about 30 lbs (if required)
•CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ certifications would be a plus
experience in implementation & troubleshooting for LAN/WAN, Wireless, CCTV, VoIP Phones / SIP Trunks, Structured cabling, routers/switches mounting, Access Points installation, Server installation/mounting.
