About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Legal to lead and manage the legal affairs of our organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while providing strategic legal guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and legislative law within publicly listed companies, financial institutions, or governmental authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and manage legal risks while implementing effective risk management strategies.

Provide legal advice to management and staff, offering solutions to complex legal challenges.

Develop and implement legal strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Oversee governance matters and ensure alignment with corporate strategy.

Influence and negotiate legal matters at all levels of the organization.

Engage with executive stakeholders, presenting ideas clearly and persuasively.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is required.

Master’s degree in Law is preferred.

Certification as a Legal Professional (CLP) is a plus.

Experience in Board of Directors Secretariat is an added advantage.

Experience & Skills:

12-15 years of experience in commercial and legislative law within a publicly listed company, financial institution, or governmental authority.
