We are seeking a highly skilled and DEWA-approved Electrical Engineer / Electrical Project Engineer with 5 to 8 years of hands-on UAE experience. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in DEWA procedures, application portals, project execution, and electrical site management.
DEWA Engineering Responsibilities:
· Manage and handle all DEWA-related application processes through the DEWA online portal.
· Coordinate with DEWA for obtaining approvals for load schedules, shop drawings, single-line diagrams, NOCs, and inspection requests.
· Ensure full compliance with DEWA regulations, standards, and specifications across all project stages.
· Follow up on submitted applications, revisions, and inspections to ensure timely approvals.
· Attend DEWA site inspections and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to close inspection comments.
· Prepare and review electrical designs, load calculations, and panel schedules as per DEWA requirements.
· Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all DEWA correspondences and approvals.
Electrical Project Engineer Responsibilities:
· Plan, manage, and monitor the execution of electrical works at project sites in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and local authority standards.
· Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure smooth project progress.
· Supervise site activities including installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems (LV distribution, lighting, power, cabling, earthing, etc.).
· Prepare and review method statements, material submittals, and work inspection requests (WIRs).
· Track project progress, prepare daily/weekly reports, and highlight risks or delays to management.
· Ensure timely procurement of materials by coordinating with suppliers and internal procurement teams.
· Ensure strict adherence to QHSE standards and site safety protocols.
· Manage project timelines, manpower allocation, and site resources to achieve targeted milestones.
· Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (from an accredited university).
· Must be DEWA-approved as an Electrical Engineer.
· 5 to 8 years of proven UAE experience with significant involvement in DEWA project handling and site execution of electrical systems.
