Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain detailed converting production schedules aligned with demand, machine capacity, and material availability.
2. Optimize plant capacity by balancing workloads across machines and shifts to avoid bottlenecks or underutilization.
3. Ensure efficient utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials by minimizing downtime, waste, and unplanned changes.
4. Coordinate closely with Planning, Corrugator, Production, Stores, and Customer Service teams to align priorities and timelines.
5. Monitor order progress and proactively resolve planning or execution issues impacting delivery.
6. Act as the primary escalation point for converting-related planning deviations affecting customer commitments.
7. Identify planning inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Assess operational risks (capacity constraints, material shortages, breakdowns) and implement contingency plans.
9. Prepare and present regular planning and performance reports to management
10. Manage WIP inventory levels and conduct monthly physical inventory counts with accurate reporting.
Required Profile:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or BBA in a relevant discipline. (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in production planning and scheduling.
- Prior experience in the packaging or manufacturing industry is essential.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of production planning & machine-wise scheduling
Proficiency in ERP / planning systems.
- Data analysis & reporting for demand, capacity, and KPI tracking.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and capacity planning.
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills.
