Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Ops Engineer with strong Kubernetes expertise to manage, optimize, and support containerized workloads in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Kubernetes cluster administration, container orchestration, automation, and cloud infrastructure operations, primarily within GCP environments.
This role requires a professional who can ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security while collaborating closely with DevOps, development, and cloud architecture teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters (GKE) in cloud environments.
- Configure and maintain Kubernetes workloads including deployments, services, ingress controllers, and namespaces.
- Implement container orchestration best practices for scalability, resilience, and high availability.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor cluster health and performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Cloud Monitoring.
- Troubleshoot container, pod, networking, and cluster-level issues.
- Manage container images, registries, and security policies.
- Implement Kubernetes security controls including RBAC, secrets management, and network policies.
- Optimize resource utilization using autoscaling, node pools, and cost optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support application deployments and releases.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security and governance standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7+ years of experience in Cloud / DevOps / Platform Engineering roles.
Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes administration and operations (GKE preferred).
- Solid experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Experience working with Linux systems and shell scripting or Python.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPC, Load Balancers, DNS, Firewalls).
- Experience in monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP and/or Azure.
