Technical Channel Owner to lead Retail, Mobile, and Corporate Banking Channels, with a strong focus on payments and cash management platforms. The role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on development background, and strong understanding of UAE banking regulations, local payment rails, SWIFT, and CBDC initiatives.
Certifications such as TOGAF, PMP, Prince2, Cloud, or Payment’s certifications are an advantage.
Proven experience in UAE retail, mobile, and corporate cash management transformation programs.
Core Technical Expertise
Mobile & Digital Banking Channels
Strong hands-on knowledge of Mobile Banking platforms (Retail & Corporate):
Mobile payments, transfers, bill payments, QR payments
Secure authentication, biometrics, tokenization, and fraud controls
Mobile SDK integrations, API consumption, and backend service orchestration
Understanding of mobile regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements in UAE banking.
Corporate Banking & Cash Management
Deep functional and technical knowledge of Corporate Cash Management solutions including:
Payments & collections
Liquidity management and pooling
Account services, balance reporting (MT940 / ISO 20022)
Host-to-Host and ERP integrations
Experience with corporate digital channels, including Corporate Internet Banking and self-service portals.
Payments & Financial Messaging
Extensive expertise in UAE local payment rails, including:
UAEFTS / RTGS
Instant Payments Platforms (IPP / Aani)
WPS, Direct Debit, Cheque Imaging Systems
Strong working knowledge of SWIFT (MT, ISO 20022 MX, SWIFT gpi).
Experience with cross-border payments, reconciliation, sanctions screening, and settlement.
Exposure to or active involvement in CBDC initiatives, digital currencies, or central bank payment innovations.
Channel & Integration Architecture
Ownership of Retail, Mobile, and Corporate channels spanning Internet Banking, Mobile Apps, Host-to-Host, and APIs.
Strong engineering background in API-first and microservices architectures.
Experience integrating with Core Banking, Payments Hubs, AML, Fraud, Cards, Trade Finance, and Treasury systems.
Development & Engineering Background
Solid hands-on development experience (Java, Spring Boot, .NET, or equivalent enterprise platforms).
Experience designing and supporting high-volume, mission-critical transaction systems.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and cloud-native platforms.
Banking, Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge
Strong understanding of CBUAE regulations, UAE banking compliance, and supervisory frameworks.
Experience aligning channel and payment solutions with AML, KYC, sanctions, and fraud requirements.
