Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IBM DataPower (DP) Developer to join our team on a remote, 12-month extendable contract. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM DataPower Gateway development, configuration, and administration, with experience in API security, service integration, and enterprise middleware environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, and maintain IBM DataPower Gateway solutions.

- Develop and implement DataPower services, policies, and security configurations.

- Configure Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy (WSP), XML Firewall, and other DataPower services.

- Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and API security mechanisms.

- Integrate DataPower with backend applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.

- Develop XSLT transformations, service routing, and message mediation solutions.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize DataPower performance and availability.

- Support deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.

- Collaborate with architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver integration solutions.

- Maintain technical documentation and provide production support when required.

Required Skills :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway.

- Strong experience with MPGW, WSP, XML Firewall, and service configuration.

- Knowledge of XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, SOAP, REST, and Web Services.

- Experience implementing security protocols such as SSL/TLS, OAuth, JWT, SAML, and API Key authentication.

- Experience with troubleshooting and performance tuning in DataPower environments.

- Familiarity with API management platforms and enterprise integration solutions.

- Knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, and web service security.

- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
