This role is responsible for ensuring that enterprise data platforms are secure, scalable, highly available, and aligned with the organization's data governance, security, and privacy frameworks. The successful candidate will collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Database Administrators, Analytics teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performing data services.
Key Responsibilities
Data Platform Management
- Lead the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise data platforms.
- Design, implement, and support scalable, secure, and high-performing data platform infrastructure.
- Manage operational support for data lakes, data warehouses, reporting platforms, and enterprise content management systems.
- Ensure platform availability, reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring and optimization.
Platform Administration & Optimization
- Monitor and optimize platform performance, storage, compute resources, and system utilization.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization.
- Manage platform upgrades, patching, maintenance activities, and system enhancements.
- Implement automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Data Engineering & Integration
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Modelers, and Database Administrators to develop efficient data pipelines and storage solutions.
- Support integration of enterprise applications, databases, ETL processes, and analytics platforms.
- Ensure smooth data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across enterprise systems.
- Support document management and enterprise content management system integration.
Data Governance & Security
- Implement and enforce enterprise data governance, security, and access management policies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with security and governance teams to maintain data privacy and platform security.
- Support auditing, logging, monitoring, and access control implementation.
